Meet Anna and Tom. After their 50 metre yacht “The 中文聽說讀寫“ was destroyed by a tropical cyclone off the coast of McMurdo Sound, in the Ross Sea, both were washed up on a deserted beach near the isolated settlement of Harwood, NZ. With their bare fingernails they scratched a cave in the staggering cliffs where they sought refuge from harsh weather-conditions, native predators and the birdflu. On a Wednesday, shortly after the release of Coldplay’s third studio album, they gave birth to a wonderful love child called Eva-Louise. Ten years later and with the help of Wall Street investors they run the world’s smallest media network. Their story was the inspiration for several countless box-office hits (Titanic, The Blue Lagoon, Jaws I, II, III, VI, V and XIV, etc.).

Our little trip to Queenstown

Last week we went on a little trip to Queenstown and Arrowtown.

This picture was taken in a parc in Milton, on the way to Queenstown.
Shortly after taking this picture, we drove off, but I forgot to take the camera with us. Only after half an hour, I suddenly remembered leaving the camera at a picnic bench. We turned around and drove back, hoping it was still there. When we finally got there the camera was gone. But fortunately, somebody had dropped it off at the police station. Comment of the local cop: "You're pretty lucky it wasn't a local who found it!"
Waret nen local geweest, ge kost ernaar fluyten."

The hotel in Queenstown was pretty cool. Eva even had her own horse to ride on.

From Queenstown we took an old steamboot, the SS Earnslaw, to the Walter's Peak Station.

....no signs of sea-sickness.
Jaja, alleman in zijn element...

A happy reunion with the milk bottle.
Walter's Peak Station has heaps of animals: dogs, ducks, deer, galloways,... but the little lambs were certainly Eva's favorite. And as you can see, little Eva became an attraction herself.

After a day of action (mum and dad running behind a little loose canon) we were all happy to crawl in bed

The next day we went to Arrowtown. Eva started exploring the banks of the Arrow Town River. Later on we went shopping. While mum was deciding over which handbag to buy, Eva quietly sneaked into a corner of the shop. By the time we had discovered her she was busy rearranging the "toys section"
cheers
salutekes
Tom
