Meet Anna and Tom. After their 50 metre yacht “The 中文聽說讀寫“ was destroyed by a tropical cyclone off the coast of McMurdo Sound, in the Ross Sea, both were washed up on a deserted beach near the isolated settlement of Harwood, NZ. With their bare fingernails they scratched a cave in the staggering cliffs where they sought refuge from harsh weather-conditions, native predators and the birdflu. On a Wednesday, shortly after the release of Coldplay’s third studio album, they gave birth to a wonderful love child called Eva-Louise. Ten years later and with the help of Wall Street investors they run the world’s smallest media network. Their story was the inspiration for several countless box-office hits (Titanic, The Blue Lagoon, Jaws I, II, III, VI, V and XIV, etc.).

Merry Christmas









The lead up to Christmas has been quite hectic as usual. Lots of shopping and some Christmas work 'dos' (aka parties). The photos above are an Opus kids Christmas party we had at the beach where Santa arrived in a vintage fire truck. Despite Eva always talking about fire trucks as you can see, she didn't actually enjoy riding in one too much. Even though this was 2 weeks ago she still talks about "Firetruck Eva crying".
In other news, Tom has had lots to celebrate doing really well in his courses this year and winning a scholarship for next year which is great given that we have been spending a bit on home renovations (as you can see... really should have just torn it down and started over).

We will of course post some more photos after the big day. In the meantime, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
